To begin the story it was the spring of 2002..............
...when my husband and I were planning our own wedding.
I remember trying to find a florist, I didn't know anyone. I found myself Googling flower shops and the first one that popped up, I called. What a blessing that phone call was. I met the nicest family that day!
As we got to know each other, they let me help with my own flowers and taught me so many things along the way. To return their kindness, I volunteered for a fall open house, a Valentine's day and even a Mother's day. I believe I experienced a wedding or two as well.
Looking back I realize how happy I was when arranging flowers, especially for weddings. A few years later, a co-worker was getting married and I volunteered to arrange her flowers (thanks Patti!).
And so began
a bloomin' wedding....
Now I am no flower shop and except for my husband getting roped into helping on occasion, I work solo. Therefore, I am always careful about how large of a wedding I commit to. I use flowers from Costco, Pike Place Market (when in season) and Northwest Wholesale Florists.
I am happiest when expressing my creativity! I am not afraid to try anything, if you are willing to put some trust in me I promise to dazzle you!
As you scroll down I hope you enjoy some photos of arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres and hand-helds that I've created over the years for various brides and their wedding parties. A big thanks to all the photographers for allowing me to feature their work on my blog! :o)
